Managing the Scripts Library

You can change the sequence in which the styles are applied to pages.

To change the sequence order:

1. In the left-hand tree structure, click the Edit Sequence icon (Gear).
2. A Reorder Scripts modal pops up, displaying the JavaScript for all nodes.

3. Drag and drop the files to the order that you want them to apply.
4. Click Close to return to the main Scripts Library.

 

You can add new JS files or edit the properties of existing ones, including re-uploading files with the same name.

To add JS file:

1. n the Scripts Library, navigate to the part of the directory where you want to add the new file. In the listing, click Add New.

To edit the properties for a JS file:

1. In the Scripts Library, click Edit Properties.
2. The Add New / Edit Style popup appears.

3. Edit the properties for the file as follows:

 

Title	Name of file in CMS
File Name	The file name. To upload or reupload, click Browse. In the resulting uploading file dialog, navigate to where you have stored the file on your computer, highlight and click Open.
Description	Brief explanation of the contents or use of the scripts
Global	Click checkbox to indicate that this style is applied globally to all pages/page templates throughout iAPPS CMS.

 

4. Click Save.
5. The new or updated file appears in the library list.

 

To view a scripts source file:

1. In the Scripts Library, highlight the name of a file and select View Source from the More as appropriate.
2. Content Manager opens a new window or tab in your internet browser and displays the content of the selected .js file.
3. Simply close the browser window/tab when you are finished.

 

To view which pages are using a script:

1. In the Scripts Library, highlight the name of a file and select View Pages Using Script from the More as appropriate.

2. A Pages Using [JS file] dialog appears, displaying either:

• A list of the pages using the selected file OR
• A message indicating that no pages reference the selected file

3. Click Close to return to the Scripts Library.

 

Content Manager does not delete an archived file, but makes it unavailable to admin users by moving it to an archived folder.

To archive/make active a content definition:

1. In the Scripts Library, highlight the name of a file and select Archive or Make Active as appropriate.
2. Content Manager changes the status it displays for the file library list.
3. You can filter to display only archived files or active files using the Status drop-down filter.
