Individual Product Inventory Options

    To manage inventory options, either

This will display the inventory options.

Whether or not you can manage the inventory for products in this screen depends on whether you have manual restocking and inventory or external synchronized inventory set up in your warehouses. If you have a synchronized inventory, you will be unable to make any manual changes.

If you have manual inventory options, you can manage the inventory for products thorough this inventory interface.  For each warehouse you have set up, you have the following information:

Warehouse

The warehouse where product is located and will be shipped from.

In stock

Number in stock, not including current orders in processing.

Waiting to Ship

Number of the product accounted for due to already existing orders.

Available to sell

The difference of the quantity on hand less the allocated quantity.

Backordered

Number backordered, if any..

Low inventory alert

This allows you to choose if the system generates an alert if product is low.  This can be the default value from the site settings or a custom value.  This is the quantity at which an Email Alert is sent to administrators. This alert also shows up on the Control Center.

You cannot adjust the inventory if you are using an external warehouse with synchronized inventory.

If you have manual inventory control, you can adjust the number in stock.  When overriding the value, you should pick a reason in the drop-down box. Choose among the available reasons (for example, lost, damaged, new shipment, physical count) or choose “other” and enter reason in the text box.

  1. Changing the In Stock quantity will update the Available to Sell Quantity. Until you have saved your changes the two quantities will reset to the previous amount if you click Reset.
  2. If desired, you can also set the quantity to be unlimited (this might be the case for digital products, for example.)

  1. Click “Show SKUs” to see a list of all related SKUs, if applicable.
  1. Click “Hide SKUs” to close that menu.
  1. When you are satisfied with your inventory choices, click Save.
