Managing Layout Templates

You cannot edit Layout Templates in the iAPPS Admin UI. This must be done by a developer in Visual Studio. However, Template Administrators can upload new Layout Templates or edit the Properties for an existing Layout Template, including re-uploading an edited Layout Template.

Adding Layout Templates

To upload a new Layout template to the Template Builder Library (Administration > Template Builder)

1. Click Add New.
2. Fill in the required properties:

• Title (This appears to users picking the template as a base in the Template Library).
• Description (optional)
• Image (Icon to help users identify the template. Click Browse to upload a file.)
• Template (Template File Name. Click Browse to upload a file.)
• Template Styles (Global styles show up here. Check to include on the template).
• Template Scripts (Global scripts show up here. Check to include on the template).

Editing the properties of a Layout Template - including re-uploading a file

You can edit the properties of a Layout Template in the Template Builder Library view. Properties include:

• Title (This appears to users picking the template as a base in the Template Library).
• Description (optional)
• Image (an icon to help users identify the template. Click Browse to upload a file.)
• Template (Template File Name, click Browse to upload a file with the same file name.)
• Template Styles (Global styles show up here. Put a check next any you want included on the template).
• Template Scripts (Global scripts show up here. Put a check next any you want included on the template).
