Managing Lists

This section contains step-by-step instructions for how to create and manage lists that you can use in pages throughout your site.

Note: IAPPS uses two separate types of Lists, which relate to the types of container that developers use on a template.

Administrators can create Lists for Framework List containers in the Admin UI and the list will appear in the Content Lists Library. A DataView type list will be configured in Site Editor, and does not appear in the Content Lists Library.

Both these types of lists can only be used if there is an appropriate list container on the page to insert the list into.

 

Content Lists Library

To manage standard lists, select Manage Site Assets > Libraries > Content Lists from the main navigation menu.

The Content Lists screen appears, displaying existing Lists and action buttons.

 

Creating a New List or Editing a List

You can create the following types of lists:

Deleting a List

To delete a list:

  1. In the Content Lists screen (Manage Site Assets > Libraries > Content Lists), highlight the list in question and click Delete .
  2. A dialog appears prompting you to confirm that you want to delete this list:

The list no longer appears in the Content Lists screen.
