Managing Blog Post Comments

From the Blog Comments listing you can easily approve, edit, delete or reply to Blog Comments. You can choose whether to allow comments on a post with the post itself. You can choose whether or not to allow comments, and whether they must be reviewed before publication in your Blog Settings.

The advantage of comments is that they help your users connect with you and create a community. Sometimes they can unfortunately attract spam. If this is the case you can set the comments to be approved before they appear on your site.

• To see Blog Comments for a post, click on the Click on the Comments link for the post in the main Blogs Library.
• If you only want to see the Comments Awaiting Approval, then use the View drop-down on the main Blog Library Listing to switch to that view.

Both the Comments Popup and the Comments Awaiting Approval screen display the following information about each comment:

• Comment Text
• Name of user who added comment and the date comment was added
• Status (Approved, Unapproved)
• The Main view will also list the Title of post to which the comment was added.

If you wish to approve more than one Comment at a time, you can select multiple items by clicking in the Select All checkbox on the left.

For each comment you can

• Approve
• Unapprove
• Edit
• Delete
• Reply

When you chose Edit or Reply the comment will appear in an additional popup screen. Replies will be saved separately from the comments in the listing. When you choose Approve or Unapprove, you will receive a confirmation popup. If you wish to see the entire comment, choose Edit, from which you can also approve comments.
