Warehouse and Inventory Relationship

Note that product details and inventory information are not associated directly with a warehouse. 

• Product Detail information is contained in the iAPPS database. 

• Inventory information held separately and is synced with warehouses via the provider.

The inventory process (restocking) will happen automatically for a synchronized warehouse with the UPS GWS provider (or another external provider that you have set up) but needs to be done manually for other warehouses. 

• Thus users will not see inventory information on its own except during a manual restocking process.  Instead, inventory information is exposed through inventory screens in the Product Detail area on a per product basis.  In addition, administrators will receive low inventory reports.
