Connecting Pages to Menu Items
A menu item can only be connected to a single other item (usually a page) at one time.
To determine which page is connected to a menu item:
- The page connected to a menu item, a connected icon appears next to the title in the Page list.
- You can also see what is connected to a Menu Item by viewing its Target in the Menu Properties.
- In Site Editor:
- Ensure you are in Edit Mode.
- Navigate to the appropriate menu Item you want connected.
- Click the Edit Icon.
- Select or
- The Menu Properties will appear and you can see the current menu target.
To connect and disconnect Menus
You can do this in the Menus & Pages page list or in properties.
From the Menus & Pages page list:
To connect a page to a menu item:
- Select from the main navigation menu.
- Select the Menu Item you want to connect in the tree structure on the left.
- In the right pane, highlight the page you want to connect to a menu item in and select .
The page connected to the menu item will show the Menu Link icon. If there is no page connected, iAPPS will connect that page. If there is already an existing Page connected then Content Manager will replace the existing page with the new one.
To disconnect without replacing a new page as the connected item:
- Click on the currently connected page (with the Link icon) and select
Content Manager disconnects this page from the menu item and removes highlighting.
In Menu Properties:
To connect a page or other items to a menu item:
- Select the Menu Item you want to connect in the tree structure on the left, and click the Properties Icon (gear).
- In the Menu Properties right tab, choose the type of target you want to connect to the menu item and select the radio button you want.
- Paste in the link or select the appropriate target page or other library destination from the menu structure popup.
To disconnect without replacing a new page as the connected item:
- Click on the currently connected target in the Menu Properties and select
Content Manager disconnects the current target from the menu item.
