Price Sets

When products are in price sets, they can be sold a special discounts depending on a customer group. Basicially, Price Sets are the relationship between Customer Groups and special pricing on a set of products. For example, your eCommerce Site might have gold, silver, or bronze pricing levels based on preferred customer membership.

You can create two kinds of Price Sets: Automatic and Manual.

You can see existing price sets by selecting Store Manager > Price Sets.

The Price Sets screen provides the following information:

Field

Description

Name

The name of the Price Set.

Start Date

The first day that the Price Set is valid.

End Date

The date when Price Set will be obsolete. If this field is left blank, the Price Set will remain valid until you deactivate it.

Type

Automatically generated or manually entered.

Is Sale?

If set to “yes”, then the Price Set is treated on the front-end as a sale (for example, with strikethrough pricing).

# Groups

This displays the number of Customer Groups the discount applies to (unless the discount is being edited, when it displays the names of the Customer Group(s)). Customer Groups are set up from the Store Manager > Customer Group menu. This field is multi-select, so you can have multiple groups.

Number of SKUs

The number of individual SKUs represented in the Price Set.

Actions

The actions taken on the Price Set.
