Placing a New Order Manually

To place a new order manually, you must first have a customer.  If you need to, create a new customer and fill in their personal details.  See "Managing Customer Details" for instructions.

To place a new order:

  1. Right click on either an existing order or an existing customer, and choose Place New Order.  Alternatively, click the Place New Order button in the upper-right corner of the Orders screen.

  1. In the Order Details area, first click Select Customer.

Note: If you need to cancel the order while in the following process, click the Cancel Order Button in the top right of the screen.

  1. A list of customers will appear. You can filter the customer list by typing a keyword in the filter area and clicking the Go button or you can scroll through the customer list. 
  2. Once you find the customer, right-click a customer name from the popup list and choose Select Customer.

  1. The Edit Order Screen will display showing the selected customer’s name and email, the date, and other details. At the bottom of the screen is an option to add destinations.

In the rest of the order addition process, you will add the destination(s), order items, payment methods, and coupons and then ship the order. 

To start the rest of the process, click Add New Destination in the Shipping Summary area. See "Add or Change Order Shipping Destinations"

You can also add global attributes to the order or add or edit notes for the order. Instructions are below.
