Below are some common questions on email campaigns.
As with Content Manager templates, Marketier templates need custom design and setup by a developer for your company. Then you will be able to easily select templates to use for your individual email. As part of this process the developer can also add custom styles and code snippets for your use.
Send test email is an essential part of the email Wizard’s fourth step, Preview Email. See "Sending Test Email" for step-by-step instructions. Note: the default limit for sending a test email is 50 users. An Installation Administrator can change this number in the site settings, however.
You can see basic statistics on how many users received and opened your email through the View Email Results screen (Emails > View All Emails). IOpen an Email Group and highlight the email you want, then right-click and select View Email Results.
For any particular run of the email, you can right-click and select View Overlays. On the overlay screen, you will see percentages numbers. Click on the down arrow to open up a dialog box with information on the number of clicks for any particular link. From here you can right-click and View Contacts to see which users interacted with the email or assign them to a distribution list for a follow-up email or response.
From View All Emails, you can also export a list of recipients and their actions to a CSV file.
See See "Assessing Emails" for more details.
You should first set up a Watched Event based on the form in the Analyzer Module. See "Managing Watched Events" for more details.
Then return to Marketier to set up a response email. In the Modify Triggers step select the Watched Event that you set up in Analyzer as the trigger for your response campaign. Note that if you want to set up a series of events, you will need to set up separate responses. See "Managing Responses"for step-by-step instructions.
An email response will only work if the system can associate the response to a specific user.
For example, if a user purchases as a guest, the system will not know who they are unless you had custom code put in your Commerce installation to gather user information on checkout and trigger the response.
If they click on a Marketier email, however, even when the user is not logged in, IAPPS can still identify them and thus trigger a response.
