The Customers menu lets you view and manage Customers and Customer Groups.
Select Customers from the Store Manager menu to open the Customers screen. From here you can choose View Customers or Customer Groups.
The View Customers tab shows basic information like Name, Address, Email address, and Telephone Number and customer status (Active/ Inactive). You can type in a keyword such as name to find a single customer or can browse from page to page by clicking on the arrows at the bottom of the screen. From here you select a customer to manage their information, payment and shipping details, and orders.
The subtabs in the View Customer Screen correspond to the right-click menu:
Customer Notes provide a complete history of all information pertaining to a particular customer. Whenever a transaction occurs a read-only record is generated in the database. Notes are recorded, for example, when the customer places an order or when a product ships.
Customer Notes serve many useful purposes. A CSR can review notes to determine if a price has changed on an item, or see if a discount was applied, and who supplied a coupon. They also leave a useful audit trail of eCommerce transactions.
Select the CustomerNotes subtab from the View Customer tab, or right-click a customer name in the View All Customers container and select View Customer Notes
In addition to transaction-generated notes, you can enter notes manually in the text box at the top of the page.
A CSR might enter the following note to record a phone transaction.
When you click “Save,” the note becomes read-only and cannot be deleted.
