1. In the Add Product /SKU view, provide a name and number for the product, as well as descriptions.

Your screen may vary slightly depending on which text editor your installation is using.

 

2. Choose Tax Categories (non-taxable, etc.) from the drop-down list.
3. Click Assign Tags to designate Tags for this product.
4. Choose any automatic Promotions you want.

Features are automatically displayed items built into iAPPS Commerce, and available for general use. Automatic Features allow you to

• Promote the product as a new item.

• Promote the product as a top seller.

See "Features " in the Merchandising section.

5. Click the snap arrow to expand SKU Specific Information and enter data for the required fields, including: SKU, SKU title, list price, product dimensions and unit cost. See "SKU-Specific Product Information" for details for individual SKU item fields. These are details that will only apply to a single SKU (i.e., a t-shirt in a certain color or size, rather than all t-shirts). Here you will add Attributes, price and product measurements.

6. Click the snap arrow on the bottom to expand Product Information.

Note: Product information is applied globally across all associated SKUs.

1. Select the product features from the Advanced Details and Attributes areas.
2. See "Product Information" for details on these options.

7. Click Save to save the new product information. Click Delete SKU to delete an SKU or Cancel to clear information and return to the Product Catalog container.

 

The system maintains notes whenever you add, remove, or modify products and SKUs in your Product Catalog. Select Product Catalog from the Store Manager Menu, or click the Products tab from within the container to display View All SKUS.

1. To view notes right-click an SKU on the Product Catalog container and select Manage Notes.
2. To add, simply enter a note and click Save. Notes cannot be changed once they have entered the system.

 

The Images subtab in the Product catalog shows you the images that will display on the front-end.

1. From the Products table in the Product Catalog, right-click a row in a table and select Manage Images.

• Alternatively, while editing a product, click Images.

2. Right-click an image in the left window to add or remove the image.
   
   Adding an image accesses the Upload Image popup, allowing you to browse through a list of images and select an image to upload. You can add .bmp, .gif, .jpg, .png and .tiff files. While there is no official size limit, keep in mind that larger images will take longer to load and could affect site performance for customers.

 

3. Select Upload New Image from the right window to change the current image.

 

4. Click a thumbnail in the left window to display the image in the right window, along with the image details.

For example, selecting the bright pink iPod shows the size of the image:

5. You can assign a SKU to this image by clicking the “SKU” button. Then only this image will display on the front-end Product Detail page.
6. Images can be applied to multiple SKUs, or to a single SKU. The following figure shows the image applied to a single SKU.

7. If multiple images are assigned to a product, iAPPS Commerce displays the top image as the default image on the Product Detail page. It also displays thumbnails on the Product Detail page in that order.
8. To change the order of images in the left window drag and drop the thumbnail images.

 

1. To manage navigational categories for a product, from the Product Catalog Products table right-click a row in a table and select Manage Navigational Categories.

Alternatively, while editing a product, click Navigation Categories at the top of the container.

2. The Navigation Categories screen shows the categories to which this item belongs, based on the Filter criteria.

For example, if you clicked “Audio” in the front-end website, the product in the figure below (Apple iPod Nano) displays in that navigational category:

Even though dynamic filtering causes the product to display on a product level, you can use this container to override the functionality and still remove the product from the navigational category.

3. Right-click the navigational category and select Remove from Category to omit the product from the Portable Audio category.

4. The Status column shows “Excluded” for this product. You can right-click again and re-include the product in the category.
