Introduction to iAPPS Commerce

This section provides an overview of eCommerce goals, and explains how to use iAPPS Commerce to meet your eCommerce website goals.

iAPPS Commerce is an eCMS (eCommerce Management System) that helps you build eCommerce websites, and efficiently manage commerce web content.

Commerce expands the iAPPS Framework by providing a number of functions for effectively maintaining an online business; including payment support, wish lists, a flexible shopping cart, merchandising features, personalized customer interaction, returns, backorders, inventory management, detailed reporting on key metrics. and optional warehouse integration.

iAPPS Commerce and the iAPPS Product Suite

The Commerce Administration User Interface (UI) lets you manage all aspects of the back-end and front-end of your online store in the familiar iAPPS interface.All iAPPS modules use the same dashboard setup for ease-of-use. This is true for navigation and general iAPPS user functionality as well; knowing one tool allows you to understand how to use them all.

iAPPS Commerce expands iAPPS Content Manager with commerce-related functions. Every page rendered from a Commerce store is produced by Content Manager to ensure seamless integration. All iAPPS Commerce product pages and information are fully integrated into iAPPS Content Manager. This makes it easier to manage and organize website content.

You can view Commerce pages using the iAPPS Site Editor. Depending on your user privileges, you may be able to view pages in Site Editor, but not edit them.

iAPPS Analyzer and Marketier are also fully integrated and allow you to use your iAPPS customer and product data to drive marketing campaigns and easily track the status of your website and storefront.

• iAPPS Analyzer tracks and reports all Commerce web analytical data by default. Enhancements for Commerce are part of Analyzer, such as pre-building Scenario (funnel chart) steps based on the creation of the virtual Shopping Cart.
• iAPPS Marketier automatically features your Commerce and Content Manager customer information to allow for seamless email marketing related to your website.

Note: iAPPS Commerce does not preclude using other traditional web analytic solutions. However, If no iAPPS Analyzer license is purchased, built-in Analyzer features such as scenarios will not work.
