Managing Contacts

iAPPS Marketier allows you to develop and manage contacts for your email marketing.

The iAPPS contacts database stores contact information with a key to the iAPPS module through which the contact information entered the database: Marketier, Commerce, or Content Manager.  You can send Marketier emails to database contacts keyed to any iAPPS module but can edit contact information only for contacts keyed to Marketier.  Even if a contact entered the database through Marketier, if they subsequently become a contact in iAPPS Commerce or Content Manager, you will then only be able to edit their details in those modules. This is to avoid accidentally overriding customer-entered information such as a change of email. 

You can add Marketier contacts by importing from a CSV file, third-party applications or by manually entering them into iAPPS Marketier.

After adding contacts to your Marketier contacts database, you can then create distribution lists with any combination of your contacts for targeting marketing emails to specific contacts.

Managing contacts in iAPPS Marketier includes:

• Searching existing contacts
• Modifying contact information
• Adding individual contacts manually
• Importing contacts
• Creating and managing distribution lists
• Managing User Subscriptions

To work with contacts already in the database, you must first populate the Filtered Contacts list by doing a search. (Contacts > Search Contacts). You can do basic searches for name and email or filter contacts by source, tags, and behavior on the site.

Once you click Search Contacts, the Filtered Contacts results appears on the right half of the screen. From here you can edit Contact details, Tag contacts, add them to distribution lists and many other actions.
